Technical Advisor on NDCs & Transversal Facilitator (Paraguay)

About the role

The Technical Advisor will provide strategic technical and political guidance for the implementation of the NDC Act & Invest Initiative in Paraguay, ensuring alignment with the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development (MADES) priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver strategic guidance and coordination with MADES and UNEP technical teams.
• Provide technical oversight of hired consultants, review technical products and deliverables.
• Support the preparation of technical progress reports and ensure timely execution of project activities.
• Facilitate communication and coordination among national stakeholders, consultants, and UNEP.
• Contribute to communication and outreach strategies related to climate change in Paraguay.
• Generate technical and strategic inputs to strengthen dissemination and implementation of climate initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience in climate‑change projects and Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).
• Proven ability to work closely with government ministries and inter‑institutional partners.
• Strong background in project coordination and technical advisory roles.
