Senior Trading Analyst

About the role

Deriv is looking for a Senior Trading Analyst in Asunción to build trading analysis skills that feed risk frameworks protecting real money and trading conditions for 3 million customers worldwide. The role sits in a team that has built and managed risk frameworks across asset classes and regulatory environments, and uses AI tools to streamline data processing and flag anomalies.

Key responsibilities

• Market monitoring: track trends and liquidity conditions across core instruments and flag meaningful changes
• Trading conditions analysis: analyse spread data, execution quality and liquidity provider performance
• Backtesting support: run structured analyses on strategies and instrument parameters
• Risk framework contribution: support risk management SOPs and understand how frameworks are structured
• Reporting: use AI tools and SQL to build clean, accurate reports for internal teams
• Liquidity provider research: support relationship research to identify optimal trading conditions

Required profile

• 1-3 years of experience in trading analysis, financial markets or a related analytical role within a regulated entity
• Degree in mathematics, finance, economics or a related field
• Some backtesting experience, formal or on your own
• Clear written and spoken English
• Comfortable with AI tools or ready to learn them
