Senior Business Analyst (Remote, Latin America)

About the role

Bluelight is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to translate business problems into clear, buildable requirements. Working remotely across Latin America, you will act as the bridge between clients, product teams, and engineers, ensuring delivered solutions meet the intended goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead stakeholder interviews and workshops to capture goals, workflows, and pain points.
• Document current‑state and future‑state processes, business rules, data definitions, and edge cases.
• Break project scope into epics and user stories for accurate engineering estimates.
• Write clear user stories with testable acceptance criteria in Jira and partner with the Product Manager to groom the backlog.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers in Figma to align screens with requirements and flag gaps.
• Answer engineering questions during sprints, keep requirements up‑to‑date, and support QA for test coverage.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing and sprint demos with clients.
• Maintain organized documentation in Google Drive, including compliance, security, and audit requirements such as SOC 2.

Required profile

• 3+ years experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role on software projects.
• Proven ability to run discovery sessions and turn ambiguous input into structured requirements.
• Strong experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Comfortable leading client meetings with U.S. stakeholders and communicating clearly in English.
• Technical literacy to discuss APIs, integrations, databases, and system constraints with engineers.
