Partnerships Officer

About the role

The Partnerships Officer will serve as the lead advisor to the Resident Coordinator and the United Nations Country Team on strategic partnerships, stakeholder engagement, advocacy alliances and resource mobilization to accelerate the Sustainable Development Goals in Paraguay.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the UN Partnership Strategy aligned with the Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework.
• Coordinate with UN entities, government, civil society, private sector and non‑traditional partners to create value‑propositions and mobilize financing.
• Lead due‑diligence, risk assessment and stakeholder intelligence for potential investments and partnerships.
• Support the design and management of pooled funds, SDG Fund and joint resource‑mobilization initiatives.
• Provide analytical support for financing options, blended finance and innovation hubs in line with national development priorities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in partnership development, resource mobilization and multi‑stakeholder coordination within an international development context.
• Strong understanding of UN processes, Sustainable Development Goals and strategic foresight methodologies.
• Ability to produce high‑quality analytical reports, briefing papers and stakeholder intelligence.
