Lead Data Engineer (SQL) – Remote

About the role

As a Lead Data Engineer (SQL) you will drive the design, development, and optimization of high‑performance relational databases that power enterprise applications. Working remotely, you will act as a technical guide, ensuring data solutions meet business objectives and maintain scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor and guide database developers while collaborating with stakeholders.
• Design, document, and maintain high‑performance relational data models and schemas.
• Create, test, and maintain complex database objects such as stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
• Analyze execution plans, diagnose bottlenecks, and implement indexing and tuning strategies.
• Manage transaction control, concurrency, and data integrity across the platform.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in database development or data engineering.
• Proven expertise with SQL Server and advanced T‑SQL programming.
• Strong background in query optimization, performance tuning, and execution‑plan analysis.
• Solid understanding of relational data modeling, normalization, and transaction management.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
