Junior Network Engineer

About the role

As a Junior Network Engineer you will join Infobip’s network engineering team, supporting carrier and enterprise customers and acting as the final line of technical support for escalations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement custom network solutions for carrier and enterprise customers.
• Act as an escalation contact for the Network Operations group, troubleshooting customer and network issues.
• Assist with design, engineering, planning, implementation, and maintenance of the nationwide IP/MPLS backbone.
• Support design, engineering, and deployment of local fiber, access networks, and DCS systems across major markets.
• Help design, engineer, and launch new sites and market expansions.
• Develop and document processes and solutions for internal distribution and cross‑team training.
• Assist with automation of network‑related processes and participate in on‑call rotation.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in a networking role or technical support with a desire to move into network engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with IOS, IOS XR, or Junos, including switch and router configuration via command line.
• Working knowledge of IP, MPLS, BGP, and Ethernet fundamentals.
• Comfortable collaborating with remote, cross‑regional teams.
• Ownership mindset, patience, and ability to see issues through to resolution.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and resourcefulness.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
