About the role

AVEVA is seeking a hands‑on leader to drive the development and deployment of AI solutions across its industrial software portfolio. The Lead Forward Deployed Engineer, AI will bridge cutting‑edge AI research with real‑world industrial applications, ensuring solutions are practical, scalable, and deliver measurable impact.

Key responsibilities

• Provide industrial domain expertise to guide AI tool, platform, and roadmap decisions.
• Work directly with internal and external customers in a consultative manner to gather feedback and refine AI solutions.
• Identify and define industrial use cases for AI, developing demos, prototypes, and proof‑of‑value solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate AI capabilities into existing industrial software systems.
• Evaluate performance and impact of AI models in operational environments.
• Support and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering, applied AI, or AI technical product management.
• At least 4 years in a customer‑facing technical lead role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Industrial Systems or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Deep understanding of industrial domains such as life sciences, manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, or material science.
• Proven hands‑on experience deploying AI/ML solutions in real‑world industrial environments.
