Remote UI/UX Designer

About the role

Huzzle connects talent with in-house roles at leading companies across the UK, US, Canada, Europe and Australia, including startups, digital agencies and tech platforms in SaaS, MarTech, FinTech and EdTech. This is a full-time, independent contractor position for an experienced UI/UX Designer with 3+ years of experience, working remotely. You will work closely with product managers, developers and other stakeholders to turn business requirements and user needs into digital experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for web and/or mobile products
• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, mockups and high-fidelity UI designs
• Translate product requirements and user needs into clear design solutions
• Collaborate with product managers, developers and stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle
• Build, maintain and contribute to scalable design systems and reusable components
• Contribute to user research, usability testing and design validation, and use the results to improve the user experience
• Ensure consistency across layouts, typography, colours, components and interactions
• Prepare designs and specifications for developer handoff and review implemented designs

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional UI/UX, Product Design or Digital Product Design experience
• A strong portfolio showing UI/UX projects and your design process
• Ability to explain design decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, collaborative environment
• Excellent written and verbal English

Required skills

• Advanced Figma and modern design/prototyping tools
• UX principles, interaction design, information architecture, responsive design and usability
• Wireframes, prototypes, user journeys and high-fidelity interfaces
• Design systems and component libraries
• Nice to have: SaaS product experience, accessibility and WCAG knowledge, basic HTML/CSS, user interview experience
