Logistics Assistant

About the role

The Logistics Assistant will coordinate daily product deliveries to customers while minimizing distribution costs and complying with local transportation regulations. The role includes both domestic and export activities, requiring close interaction with drivers, customers, and distribution centre staff.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze demand, create orders, plan and coordinate bulk product deliveries, and communicate with customers to ensure service levels.
• Plan and optimise delivery assignments, provide detailed routes to drivers, and manage truck utilisation and maintenance schedules.
• Validate drivers' trip documentation, ensure data accuracy, and monitor database quality.
• Identify and resolve non‑conformities, enforce safety and quality standards, and ensure compliance with transportation regulations.
• Implement equipment maintenance programmes based on the Transport Manager's plan.
• Manage emergency calls, respond to customer and driver requests, and handle alerts from the teleflo system.
• Schedule and dispatch workers, crews, and equipment for installations, services, or emergency repairs, and order necessary supplies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or two‑year technical degree.
• 1‑3+ years of experience in logistics, operations control, or related areas, preferably with multinational firms.
• Understanding of closing processes and ERP systems.
