Lead Security Engineer (Kubernetes) - Remote

About the role

BairesDev is hiring a Lead Security Engineer (Kubernetes) for a fully remote position. You will direct the security architecture and technical strategy for containerized cloud environments, set up protection frameworks and compliance standards across multi-cluster systems, and guide engineering teams toward secure infrastructure designs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the security accreditation architecture and define the technical direction for highly secure cloud environments.
• Design, implement and maintain security controls and policies for container orchestration platforms and infrastructure code.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and security awareness.
• Drive cross-functional compliance and governance initiatives to meet industry and regulatory standards.
• Automate security verification and integration processes within the deployment lifecycle to ensure continuous compliance.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Security Engineering, Cloud Security or a related field.
• Proven expertise in Kubernetes security and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Helm.
• Solid experience with AWS, EKS and CI/CD automation tools such as GitLab, Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Experience leading security accreditation architecture, mentoring engineers and driving compliance.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
