Full Stack and Backend NodeJS TypeScript/JavaScript Engineer (Senior) – Remote, Latin America

About the role

Bluelight is seeking a senior Full Stack and Backend Engineer to join its remote team serving clients across the United States and Latin America. You will work on high‑impact, low‑latency API services and contribute to both backend and occasional frontend tasks in a fast‑paced consultancy environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain low‑latency API services on AWS.
• Build scalable RESTful APIs and integrate third‑party SDKs.
• Work with PostgreSQL/AuroraDB, including Row‑Level Security, raw SQL, and schema migrations.
• Contribute to React‑based frontend components when needed.
• Implement comprehensive testing strategies, including integration and fault‑injection tests.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments on AWS Fargate/ECS.
• Collaborate with AI coding assistants as part of daily development.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, backend‑focused.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Ability to overlap US business hours.
• Strong sense of ownership, client focus, and attention to detail.
