Financial and Operations Analyst (Remote, Paraguay)

About the role

Sagan connects international professionals with remote opportunities at US-based businesses. This is a remote, independent contractor position for a Financial and Operations Analyst based in Paraguay, working Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time. The role supports accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and operational analysis, turning financial and business data into useful recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze actual results against budgets, explain variances and trends, and recommend improvements to gross margin.
• Support month-end close, weekly KPI reporting, and monthly or quarterly leadership reporting.
• Help prepare budgets and support pricing, cost modeling and RFP analysis.
• Analyze operating costs, late fees and financial performance, identifying practical process improvements.
• Prepare financial and operational reports using Excel and PowerPoint.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
• At least two years of experience in FP&A, investment banking or a relevant financial analysis field.
• Nice to have: experience with EPM tools, pricing or cost analysis, and operational performance reporting.

Required skills

• Strong financial, accounting and analytical skills, including working knowledge of GAAP and financial statements.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with careful attention to data accuracy.
• Clear communication, sound judgment and the ability to manage competing priorities.
