Chemistry & Lab Data Expert

About the role

We are looking for professionals with a strong background in chemistry or chemical engineering to help train AI systems that assist scientists in designing new materials, interpreting reactions, and reading lab reports. You will work remotely as part of TELUS Digital’s AI Community, ensuring that the AI correctly understands molecules, formulas, and safety rules.

Key responsibilities

• Check Formulas – review chemical equations or molecular structures generated by the AI for scientific accuracy.
• Safety Review – verify that the AI provides correct handling instructions and predicts outcomes of chemical mixtures safely.
• Lab Data Cleanup – organize experimental data so the AI can detect patterns in material behavior.
• Simplify Science – translate complex chemical concepts into clear explanations for students or non‑experts.

Required profile

• Education – minimum Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Biochemistry.
• Native Language – native‑level proficiency in your primary language to ensure accurate chemistry terminology.
• English Proficiency – at least basic (B1) level to understand project instructions.
• Attention to Detail – ability to spot even a single incorrect character in a formula.
