Bilingual Medical Interpreter Spanish/English

About the role

I-Call International is seeking qualified Spanish‑English bilingual medical interpreters to work remotely. You will facilitate clear communication between Spanish‑speaking patients and healthcare providers, ensuring accurate exchange of medical information.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret medical terminology, diagnoses, treatment plans, and other clinical information accurately between Spanish and English.
• Provide cultural mediation to help patients navigate the healthcare system and assist providers in understanding cultural nuances.
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to professional ethical standards.
• Document each interpretation session, noting date, time, duration, and type of service.
• Stay current with medical terminology and healthcare practices through ongoing professional development.

Required profile

• Fluent in both Spanish and English.
• Experience in interpretation or translation, preferably in a medical setting.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with healthcare processes.
• Excellent communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency with remote‑working hardware: USB wired headset with boom mic, noise‑cancelling capability, HD webcam, and Ethernet LAN connection.
• Computer meeting minimum specifications (Core i3 10th gen or higher, 8 GB RAM, reliable internet 10‑20 Mbps, latency under 150 ms).

What we offer

• Flexible scheduling between 9 am and 7 pm EST, Monday‑Friday.
• Hourly compensation of $6 USD per hour for dedicated shifts.
