Accountant (QBO + US GAAP)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant with 2‑3 years of experience to join our fully remote finance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid accounting foundation, advanced QuickBooks expertise, and excellent English communication skills for collaborating with native‑speaker stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general ledger entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and perform bank reconciliations using QuickBooks.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, preparing trial balances, journal entries and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation to boost productivity.
• Maintain internal controls, resolve accounting discrepancies and ensure compliance.
• Act as the primary financial liaison, presenting figures clearly and collaborating with cross‑border teams.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of hands‑on accounting experience, preferably in an international or US‑based environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Self‑starter with high autonomy, strong problem‑solving attitude and meticulous attention to detail.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks (Online or Desktop).
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
• Knowledge of US GAAP (or comparable GAAP/IFRS principles).
