Procurement Expert

About the role

IDOM is seeking a Procurement Expert to support a major railway project in Paraguay, working closely with the Rail & Transit technical area. You will join a multidisciplinary team and play a key role in delivering project objectives while gaining exposure to diverse technologies and business units.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities for the railway project, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
• Coordinate with the technical Rail & Transit team to align procurement strategies with project requirements.
• Maintain rigorous technical standards and documentation throughout the procurement process.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to negotiate contracts and monitor supplier performance.

Required profile

• University degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement or a related specialization.
• Experience in the railway sector is desirable.
• Residence in Asunción, Paraguay (mandatory).
• Strong teamwork orientation, technical rigor, autonomy and an innovative mindset.
• Advanced English proficiency (mandatory).
