About the role

The International Freight Operator will manage the operational coordination of inbound and outbound shipments for a logistics company in Asunción. The role involves negotiating transport contracts, overseeing export/import documentation, and ensuring timely delivery of cargo.

Key responsibilities

• Search for competitive freight rates and negotiate favorable payment terms with carriers.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with transport providers and customs agents.
• Coordinate vehicle positioning, transit, and final delivery of loads.
• Verify that all export and import documentation complies with customs regulations.
• Update the Transport Management System (TMS) with operation status and resolve transit issues.
• Ensure vehicle availability to meet loading plans.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in international ground transport operations.
• Solid knowledge of export/import documentation and truck types.
• University or advanced training in Logistics, International Trade, or related fields (preferred).
• Strong negotiation ability, detail‑orientation, and capacity to work under pressure.
• Residence in Asunción or nearby areas.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience using Transport Management Systems (TMS).
