Assurance Trainee / Assistant

About the role

Join PwC's Financial Services Audit practice as an Assurance Trainee, where you will support a range of assurance services and business advice for clients ranging from fast‑growing firms to large, internationally recognised brands. You will work alongside senior audit professionals, helping to plan and execute audit engagements while leveraging the latest technology to focus on high‑value areas.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in delivering assurance services and business advice to diverse clients in banking, capital markets, private equity, insurance and consumer finance.
• Utilise advanced audit tools to reduce manual testing and concentrate on critical risk areas.
• Support the full audit lifecycle, from planning to final reporting, ensuring completeness, accuracy and fair presentation of client information.
• Help clients navigate regulatory complexity and strengthen corporate governance.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of technical developments in the assurance field.
