Management Consulting Matcher (Remote)

About the role

As a Management Consulting Matcher at Toptal, you will work directly with clients to understand their needs, custom‑match them with Management Consultants from our talent network, and provide ongoing support throughout the engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Gather client requirements, define job descriptions and talent responsibilities.
• Search talent profiles, shortlist candidates, and manage availability requests.
• Introduce candidates to clients, communicating technical and cultural fit.
• Customize talent rates, adjust commitment types, and schedule engagement dates.
• Obtain feedback on talent performance and maintain detailed platform documentation.
• Provide advice and guidance to Management Consultants in the network.
• Investigate and help resolve client‑talent disputes in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Build and manage a portfolio of client engagements, progressing to major accounts over time.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in management consulting or strategic advisory roles.
• Hands‑on experience across multiple consulting practices (strategy, finance, operations, marketing, HR, technology).
• Strong communication, relationship development and emotional‑intelligence skills.
• Ability to understand ambiguous business needs and translate them into consultant requirements.
