DME Collection Specialist II

About the role

Solventum, a new health company with a long legacy of solving tough customer challenges, is hiring a DME Collection Specialist II. The role is remote, and candidates must be available to work on site when requested; travel may include up to 10%. Relocation assistance is not authorized, and candidates must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without a visa sponsorship.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile initial accounts receivable and order-entry exceptions to ensure accurate invoicing.
• Promptly follow up on payments within the company's business practices and time-sensitive guidelines.
• Initiate and follow up on short-payments and medical appeals to resolve underpaid or denied claims.
• Analyze and interpret Explanations of Benefits (EOBs) to find discrepancies, denial reasons and payment variances.
• Conduct outbound payor calls to resolve claim issues, verify coverage and secure reimbursement.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED and 1-2 years of experience managing medical accounts receivable for US healthcare claims, including insurance collections, medical billing and follow-up with payors and providers.
• Advanced English (C1 or above).
• Ability to handle short-payments and medical appeals.
• Experience making outbound payor calls to resolve claims and verify coverage.
• Understanding of accounting principles such as payment posting review, balance reconciliation and revenue tracking.
• Commitment to confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Required skills

• Analyzing and interpreting EOBs to identify discrepancies and denial reasons.
• Analytical and basic accounting abilities to resolve complex A/R discrepancies.
• Outbound call handling to resolve claim issues and verify coverage.
