Country Product Manager - LATAM Payroll & HR

About the role

Deel is building its payroll operations for LATAM countries, a greenfield build. As Country Product Manager you will be the founding product leader for a new country, working with a dedicated engineering team to design and launch payroll, HR, time tracking and related products that fit LATAM's complex regulatory and business environment. You will own end-to-end product strategy and execution, coordinating across compliance, engineering, payroll operations, HR and time tracking.

Key responsibilities

• Define product strategy for the LATAM market across payroll, HR, time and services
• Work with the engineering team to execute the roadmap and break requirements into iterative pieces, shipping early and iterating
• Coordinate across Product (payroll engine), Time, HRIS and Services teams on dependencies
• Own the relationship with key accounts and validate solutions with them
• Work with sales, implementation and local compliance teams so the solution can scale
• Build the playbook from scratch, using AI to speed up the build in collaboration with local compliance teams

Required profile

• Based in LATAM, with time-zone alignment and cultural fluency
• Fluent Spanish and/or Portuguese
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making good decisions with incomplete information
• Strong stakeholder management across teams and external partners
• Pragmatism and systems thinking, understanding how payroll, HR, time tracking and compliance fit together

Ideal to have

• Experience with Brazilian and wider LATAM payroll, tax or labor regulations
• Prior experience building payroll systems or working in payroll product roles
• Track record launching new products or entering new markets
• Experience with enterprise customers or complex business requirements
