Lead Automation Tester (JavaScript/TypeScript)

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Automation Tester to own the quality of our customer‑facing web applications and APIs. You will design, implement and evolve JavaScript/TypeScript test automation, ensuring reliable releases in an Agile product team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated tests for web apps and APIs.
• Improve existing automation frameworks and utilities (WebDriverIO, Selenium, etc.).
• Build test coverage for new features and regression scenarios.
• Execute functional and regression testing as part of the release pipeline.
• Analyse test failures, collaborate with developers to identify root causes.
• Review requirements and contribute to test planning and case design.
• Integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines and test‑management tools.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and share best practices with the team.

Required profile

• 5+ years of test‑automation experience for web applications.
• Strong hands‑on skills with JavaScript, TypeScript and Node.js.
• Proven experience using modern automation frameworks such as WebDriverIO or Selenium.
• Practical expertise in API testing (Postman or similar).
• Deep understanding of software‑testing principles, test design and defect management.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.
• Familiarity with test‑management tools (qTest, TestRail) and cloud‑based execution platforms (LambdaTest).
• Ability to work in Agile teams and communicate effectively in English (B2+).
