Cloud Security Engineer (Remote)

About the role

EDGE is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to join its remote team. You will be responsible for safeguarding cloud‑based platforms that support banking, fintech, and telecommunications services across multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain security controls for AWS, Azure and GCP environments.
• Assess cloud architectures for risks and develop secure configurations and policies.
• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and automate remediation using infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations and product teams to embed security best practices in application design, networking and data handling.
• Monitor for threats, investigate incidents and support compliance initiatives (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS).
• Continuously improve the cloud security posture through documentation and automation.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in cybersecurity and information security.
• Hands‑on experience securing cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of application security, threat modeling and security testing tools.
• Understanding of network security concepts such as segmentation, firewalls, VPNs and TLS.
• Familiarity with industry standards (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Benchmarks) and financial‑services compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Relevant certifications (CCSP, CISSP, CISM, GIAC) are a plus.
