Workshop Field Service Supervisor – Asuncion

About the role

Wärtsilä is seeking a Workshop Field Service Supervisor to lead and coordinate field service and workshop activities for 4‑stroke marine equipment in Asuncion, Paraguay. You will ensure safe, high‑quality execution of maintenance, overhauls and repairs while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and perform field service tasks on 4‑stroke engines and related mechanical systems, both on‑site and in the workshop.
• Supervise third‑party contractors and outsourced teams, enforcing safety and quality standards.
• Lead the assigned internal team, managing daily work execution and customer interactions.
• Report daily status of field service and workshop activities to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with Wärtsilä QEHS guidelines and site procedures.
• Create detailed Service Work Reports and identify improvement opportunities.
• Promote Wärtsilä solutions and products to customers during service engagements.

Required profile

• Safety‑first mindset with a passion for advancing the marine business.
• Relevant technical education or equivalent experience in marine engineering.
• Proven experience in installation, operation, maintenance and repair of marine equipment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to interact professionally with customers.
• Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus.
