Shipping and Receiving Clerk I

About the role

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk I is responsible for processing inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment. The role involves routine handling of goods, data entry, and supporting inventory control activities.

Key responsibilities

• Review and complete shipping and receiving paperwork, entering data into computerized systems.
• Support cycle‑count processes and raise any discrepancies.
• Stabilize trucks with chocks, load and unload vehicles as needed.
• Operate mobile powered equipment safely and efficiently.
• Identify and suggest continuous‑improvement opportunities within the facility.
• Follow all safety policies, including equipment lock‑ins/outs, and keep the work area clean.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of shipping and receiving processes and procedures.
• Ability to work under frequent guidance and follow established policies.
• Physical capability to load, unload, and stabilize trucks.
• Commitment to safety and accurate record‑keeping.

Required skills

• Operation of mobile powered equipment.
• Computerized data entry for shipment documentation.
