Quantity Surveyor Expert

About the role

IDOM is seeking a Quantity Surveyor Expert to join its Rail & Transit technical area on a major railway project in Paraguay. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, playing a key part in the design and construction phases of the project.

Key responsibilities

• Support the planning, budgeting and cost control of railway and Metro/LRT projects.
• Prepare and review quantity take‑offs, cost estimates and tender documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects and project managers to ensure technical rigor and compliance.
• Monitor project progress, identify variances and propose corrective actions.
• Contribute to reporting and communication with client and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering (Master’s and/or professional registration preferred).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in railway, Metro or LRT design and construction.
• Residence in Asunción is desirable.
• Strong teamwork orientation, technical rigor and innovative mindset.
• Advanced English proficiency (mandatory).
• Motivation to learn and grow within an international environment.
