QA Automation Engineer – JavaScript (Cypress & Playwright)

About the role

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with strong JavaScript expertise to enhance automated testing for our web products. You will focus on browser automation, identity and authentication flows, and help raise the overall release confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and expand Cypress test suites across multiple products.
• Add Playwright coverage for new features and uncovered areas.
• Design and execute test scenarios for authentication, token handling, session management, and edge‑case identity flows.
• Perform regression, integration, and exploratory testing throughout sprint cycles.
• Run accessibility checks with axe‑core and report findings against WCAG 2.1 AA.
• Execute Lighthouse CI performance checks and raise regressions.
• Create, update, and organize test cases in TestRail.
• Triage and document defects with clear reproduction steps and environment details.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts to ensure acceptance criteria are testable.
• Align pod‑level QA practices with the broader test strategy in partnership with the QA Manager.
• Leverage AI tools to generate test cases, test data, and assist in defect triage.

Required profile

• 2+ years hands‑on experience with Cypress automation.
• 2+ years practical experience using Playwright.
• Proven ownership of automation quality across products.
• Solid experience in regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Strong defect reporting skills with clear reproduction steps.
• English proficiency at B2 (Upper‑Intermediate) level.
