Product Design Systems Designer (Remote, Ciudad del Este)

About the role

Blacksmith Agency builds websites and marketing programs for clients across the US. As a Product Design Systems Designer you own how client design systems are built, turning brand references into token‑based systems that a build pipeline can execute without questions. Precision is the job.

Key responsibilities

• Build token architecture in Figma using variables, modes, and semantic naming that our pipeline can read predictably.
• Ship core component libraries that hold up across an entire site, not just a homepage.
• Document the system so a developer or an automated pipeline can execute it without questions.
• Work across several client brands at once, each looking distinctly different, while maintaining the same structural rigor.

Required profile

• 4+ years designing for the web with real design‑system work in your portfolio.
• Fluency in Figma variables, component properties, auto layout, and variants.
• Experience creating actual architecture, not just tidy files.
• A portfolio showing varied client work underpinned by consistent rigor.
• Strong English and ability to overlap with US business hours.

Required skills

• Figma (variables, component properties, auto layout, variants)
• Design system token architecture
