Junior Quality Engineer – Manual & Automation

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Quality Engineer to join Tieto Tech Consulting’s cross‑functional team in Paraguay. You will work in a hybrid setting, collaborating with product, engineering and design teams to ensure the reliability and scalability of cloud‑based backend services.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the full manual testing lifecycle: test planning, case creation, execution, defect reporting and regression testing.
• Perform functional, exploratory, integration and regression testing of web applications.
• Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Validate API functionality and verify application behavior across varied scenarios.
• Identify, document and track software defects through resolution.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
• Seek opportunities to boost testing efficiency with automation and AI‑assisted tools.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in quality engineering or software testing.
• Hands‑on experience with end‑to‑end manual testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Proficiency with Playwright and TypeScript for test automation.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with great attention to detail.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
