IT Office Support Consultant – Join Talent Pool

About the role

The Inter-American Development Bank is building a talent pool of IT Office Support Consultants to provide end‑user technology assistance across its offices in the Caribbean, Central and South America. Selected candidates will be called on when positions become available, offering the chance to work in a dynamic development‑finance environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑line IT support to IDB staff, covering hardware, software, connectivity and training needs.
• Provision, configure and maintain standard workstations throughout their lifecycle in line with corporate policies.
• Maintain web‑conferencing equipment and ensure optimal performance.
• Assist with the upkeep of networking, telecommunications, security and facilities‑related IT infrastructure, coordinating with local service providers.
• Support the rollout of new IT initiatives and act as a liaison between local offices and central IT teams.
• Document incidents, service requests and resolutions in ticketing systems and produce regular reports and dashboards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in IT support or related fields.
• Proficiency in English and one additional official IDB language (Spanish, French or Portuguese).
• Experience with customer‑support activities and basic project‑management concepts is a plus.

Required skills

• Microsoft Windows 10 and Office 365.
• Active Directory administration.
• VMware/VDI environments.
• Maintenance of workstations and mobile devices (Android/iOS).
• Familiarity with communication platforms and web‑conferencing tools.
• Knowledge of ITIL incident and service‑request processes.
• Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 quality standards.
• Awareness of AI and generative‑AI technologies and their ethical use.
