EHS Specialist

About the role

Dat‑Schaub Paraguay, part of the Danish Crown Group, seeks an EHS Specialist to lead environmental, health and safety initiatives at its Asunción site. The role focuses on building a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting sustainable operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate EHS activities across the plant, ensuring compliance with local legislation, company policies and group standards.
• Develop, implement and monitor EHS programs, procedures and initiatives, including risk assessments and preventive actions.
• Investigate incidents, accidents and near‑misses, identify root causes and drive corrective improvements.
• Monitor safety KPIs, prepare reports for local and group management, and support internal and external audits.
• Deliver EHS training and awareness programs to employees and managers.
• Support sustainability and environmental projects aligned with corporate objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Sciences or related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in EHS, health & safety, or environmental management, preferably in manufacturing, food production or FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and environmental regulations.
• Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, investigations and audits.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
• Experience with incident investigation and root‑cause analysis methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with EHS reporting systems and digital tools.
