Digital Transformation & AI Consultant

About the role

IDB Invest is seeking a Digital Transformation and AI Consultant to help its clients across Latin America and the Caribbean improve operational efficiency through AI‑enabled solutions. The role sits within the Digital Transformation Unit and supports engagements in sectors such as financial institutions, corporates, agribusiness, manufacturing, retail, insurance, telecommunications, infrastructure and energy.

Key responsibilities

• Assess current operating models and identify AI opportunities that enhance efficiency.
• Design high‑value use cases, pilot projects and implementation roadmaps.
• Translate business pain points into technical specifications, vendor packages and investment opportunities.
• Advise CFOs, COOs, compliance and cybersecurity teams on ROI, risk, and responsible AI governance.
• Supervise delivery of AI agents, RPA workflows, generative AI and retrieval‑augmented generation solutions.
• Contribute to investment cases and development impact assessments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business transformation and digital consulting.
• Strong technical fluency with AI, automation and responsible AI governance.
• Ability to engage multiple stakeholders, from technical teams to senior executives.
• Comfort discussing solution architecture, investment logic and risk controls.
• Experience working in multi‑sector environments, preferably in Latin America or emerging markets.
