About the role

The Accounting Coordinator will lead the accounting team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with the Central Bank of Paraguay regulations, and alignment with international standards. The role combines technical accounting expertise with process transformation, data management, and people leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and analyze financial statements.
• Coordinate monthly and annual accounting closures.
• Prepare and review financial statements, notes, and reports according to Central Bank of Paraguay norms and applicable international standards.
• Oversee local regulatory reporting.
• Manage accounting risks and internal controls.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
• Analyze accounting treatment of new products, unusual operations, projects, and regulatory changes.
• Drive process transformation through automation and improvements.
• Evaluate processes and regulatory frameworks.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting; postgraduate studies in Finance, Auditing, Taxation, IFRS, Risk or Internal Control are a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, audit, or financial reporting within a financial institution.
• Proven experience leading high‑performance teams.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and client‑focus abilities.

• Banking accounting and Central Bank of Paraguay regulations (advanced).
• IFRS knowledge (intermediate).
• Financial closing and statement preparation (advanced).
• Internal control and risk management (advanced).
• Audit techniques (intermediate/advanced).
• Advanced Excel and data analysis.
• Database/BI tools (desirable).
• Accounting ERP systems (desirable).
