B2B Marketing & Business Communications Consultant (Remote)

About the role

IDB Invest is seeking a B2B Marketing & Business Communications Consultant to support its Business Planning team. The role will enhance the visibility of transactions, events, and award‑winning projects across Latin America and the Caribbean, working remotely with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide communications support for business transactions, creating tailored messaging that highlights financial innovation and development impact.
• Maintain an inventory of high‑profile awards, support applications, track outcomes, and build a knowledge base for future submissions.
• Coordinate business events, handling agendas, logistics, invitations, vendor management, and post‑event reporting.
• Manage stakeholder contact records and update event‑related information before and after each activity.
• Assist with marketing campaigns and content initiatives that reinforce IDB Invest’s positioning in the region.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communication, International Relations or related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in B2B marketing and communications, preferably within multilateral, development bank or large corporate environments.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (both written and spoken); additional French or Portuguese is advantageous.

Required skills

• Experience with content management systems, email marketing platforms and social media channels.
• Basic proficiency in database management and CRM tools for tracking contacts, awards and campaigns.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite – Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Familiarity with analytics and reporting tools to measure media coverage and campaign performance.
